Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. She covers all aspects of space, including NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of space tourism. Kristin is the mother of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. As she covered the impeachment trials of two presidents and the presidential campaign for 2020, and both administrations attempts to stop the spread of coronavirus Kristin also covered a variety of other subjects. She also was on numerous trips with President and Vice President as well as a secret trip to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Before joining the network in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin is also an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary style films, for companies such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate of journalism at Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
